Unaids
is the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/Aids, bringing together the efforts and resources of ten UN system organizations to the global AIDS response.

PlusNews
reporting focuses on the humanitarian, political, economic, cultural and regional contexts of the HIV/AIDS crisis. PlusNews employs a dedicated deputy editor funded by IRIN, and uses a mixture of local freelance journalists and field assignments by IRIN staff to provide a unique service that mixes colour features with in-depth analysis. International Aids Society (IAS)
is a worldwide force of professionals working together to prevent, control and treat HIV/Aids. How the IAS does that, can be grouped into three major concepts that form their core mission:
They connect. By convening the world`s largest meetings on HIV/Aids, the IAS provides critical platforms for presenting new research, sharing best practices and advancing the fight against Aids.
They promote. By promoting dialogue, education and networking, the IAS helps close gaps in knowledge and expertise at every level of the response.
They mobilize. By providing support services to their members, the IAS help them do what they do best: advancing the state of the art and expanding access to HIV prevention, treatment and impact mitigation.

AIDS 2010
Vienna, Austria has been chosen to host the XVIII International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2010), the largest international meeting on HIV, where every two years 25,000 participants representing all stakeholders in the global response to HIV meet to assess progress and identify future priorities. AIDS 2010 is organized by the International AIDS Society (IAS), in partnership with government, scientific and civil society partners in Austria and international partners from civil society and the United Nations. AIDS 2010 will be held from 18 to 23 July 2010 at the Reed Messe Wien.

Kaisernetwork
The Kaiser Daily Health Reports draw information from more than 300 print, Internet and multimedia sources on stories related to health policy and HIV/AIDS. The reports aim to provide objective, balanced and complete coverage of media reports in these fields. Each weekday, beginning at 6 a.m., staff members scour these sources for information relevant to each publication`s audience, then excerpt and synthesize the stories, pulling out and summarizing the most important facts and quotes. The reports are published by the Kaiser Family Foundation along with the advisory board company.

The term "microbicide" refers to a range of products, potentially in gel, cream, film or suppository form, being developed to prevent the transmission of HIV and other sexually-transmitted infections when applied topically. The Alliance for Microbicide Development is a global, non-profit organization whose sole mission is to speed the development of safe, effective, and affordable microbicides to prevent sexually transmitted infections, most critically HIV/Aids.

Aids Action Europe
